DACHSHUND
Dachshunds were developed in Germany for Badger hunting. Since then they have separated into 3 coat varieties: Smooth, Wirehaired, and Longhaired, as well as two sizes, the standard, weighing 16-32 pounds, and the miniature, weighing 11 pounds and under. Dachshunds are small enough to live in an apartment,yet sturdy enough for the country. Outdoors, they are hardy, vigorous, and tireless. Indoors, they are affectionate and responsive, companionable in restful moods, hilarious in play, eager to please, and alert in announcing strangers. Their expressive and thoughtful faces make them a favorite for dressing in costumes!
